This position is responsible for performing shipment data entry work using the appropriate software; entering, updating, verifying and/or retrieving shipping information from various systems; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information needed.

Work Environment:
Work is regularly performed in a professional office environment. This role routinely used standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Other locations may include warehouse environments and are regularly exposed to heavy machinery and noise.
Physical Demands:
Walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, and move continuously during work hours. Is subject to lifting over 10 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
No travel is required for this position.

- Enters and updates inbound and outbound shipments into the vendor’s system
- Coordinate with client to schedule return pickups from their locations
- Request clarification or advise supervisor of issues related to shipping data
- Confirm with vendor the status of hot shipments and relay information to the client
- Quote shipments with all freight companies and confirm the most economical rate
- Organize all BOL and complete shipments
- Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting logistics data
- Make recommendations for improvement or enhancement to job processes to ensure standards in logistics data

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Associates Degree
